The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has brought joy to 100 orphaned girls by facilitating their marriages in a charitable initiative aimed at improving their lives.
As part of the arrangements, each bride received proper care and beautification ahead of the wedding ceremony. A dowry of ₦151,000 was paid for each bride by Hajiya Lawal, demonstrating her commitment to their welfare.
To help the newlyweds start their journey, the Governor’s wife also provided essential household items, including cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Additionally, she offered each groom a financial grant of ₦50,000 to help them launch small businesses and become self-reliant.
During the event, Hajiya Huriyya urged the brides to respect their husbands and embrace patience in their marriages. She assured them of continuous support from the Zakkat and Endowment Board in resolving any marital issues that may arise.
This commendable initiative highlights a remarkable effort to uplift the lives of orphans and promote stability in the community.
